Clean Your Tongue
It is just as important to clean your tongue as it is the rest of your mouth. The tongue is covered in little bumps called papille that can harbor bacteria. Most of these bacteria foster a healthy environment for your mouth but other kinds can cause bad breath, tooth decay and gum infections. You can keep your tongue clean by brushing it gently a few times with a toothbrush and toothpaste. To take your cleaning to the next level, use a tongue scraper. You can find these at most drug stores for less than ten dollars. Brush the scraper lightly across the surface of your tongue once or twice when you brush your teeth. You’ll remove more bacteria than brushing alone. It’s quick and simple and will make your mouth feel fresher.
