Overview
Custom dentures may be a great choice for your oral health if you need to replace missing teeth. Dentures can renew the appearance of your smile and allow you to speak and eat with enhanced confidence. As a comprehensive dental practice, Tupelo Smiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry offers partial or full removable dentures to help our patients enjoy a better quality of life after tooth loss. Full dentures replace your whole lower arch, upper arch, or both while partial dentures rely on remaining natural teeth to act as support. A denture can also be stabilized and supported with a series of dental implants placed in the jaw. If you have lost several or all of your teeth in an arch, experienced cosmetic dentists Doctors Richard Caron and John Kenney will help you determine whether full, partial, or implant-supported dentures match your goals, and then have them made custom to look natural. Schedule a consultation with our expert team today to learn more about the convenient options of dentures.

Best Candidates for Dentures
You may be a candidate for removable or implant-supported dentures if you have suffered the loss of many teeth but still have healthy gums and a strong jawbone. If you have natural teeth that are healthy, they can either be extracted for a full denture or kept in the mouth to support a partial denture. At your appointment with doctors Caron or Kenney, we will examine your oral health and review your options based on your needs, cosmetic preference, and budget.
What To Expect
We are pleased to offer several types of denture solutions here at Tupelo Smiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. Conventional full dentures replace a full upper or lower arch of teeth while immediate dentures are made prior to having any necessary teeth extracted (to keep you from ever having to be without teeth). Implant-supported dentures attach to a series of two or more dental implant posts placed at various locations within the jawbone. To create full dentures, our partner dental lab uses high-quality materials that mimic the shade of natural teeth and gums. Partial dentures replace one to several missing teeth and will be tinted to blend with your natural teeth for an attractive finish. Once your full or partial dentures are crafted, doctors Caron or Kenney will fit them so they are secure and comfortable. Our clinical team will also go over how to clean and care for your new dentures.
Follow-Up
It may require some time before your dentures feel natural. However, it should eventually become easier to speak and eat normally. If your dentures feel loose, schedule a visit at Tupelo Smiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry as soon as possible to have your dentures adjusted. At home, you will need to keep your dentures clean by brushing them twice a day. At night, or whenever you remove your dentures, they need to be soaked in water so they do not dry out. You should continue to schedule exams and cleanings at Tupelo Smiles Family and Cosmetic Dentistry so that we can examine the fit and wear of your custom dentures and the overall health of your mouth. Doctors Caron or Kenney will let you know when your dentures need to be relined or replaced, but with proper care and attention, your custom dentures can last for several years.
