Post-COVID Dental Appointments

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a few things about daily life, including the way dental visits are handled. The American Dental Association hats released guidelines to keep patients safer.  Prior to your appointment, your dental office may call you to ask you some questions about your health. They will likely repeat these questions when you arrive to make sure nothing has changed. If your city or state requires it, you will be expected to wear a mask to your appointment. Inside the office, you will notice that magazines and toys have been removed to reduce the risk of spreading germs. Hand sanitizer is also readily available for you to use and to wipe down pens and clipboard before you take them. You may also have your temperature checked before coming back to your exam. Remember that regular dental visits are essential to your health, and with these increased precautions, we’ll all be kept safe.
