Tupelo Smiles is not like any dentist office I've ever been to. It is the only one I've not been filled with dread when my appointments are approaching. The entire staff is incredible! They know me by name when I walk in, everyone approaches you with a smile and they go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Dr Kenny and his staff went above and beyond to get my smile to a point where I was no longer ashamed to smile and they got me worked in quickly to have it done before my daughter's wedding, even though I gave them an impossible time frame to work with. Tupelo Smiles is great, and they are very professional. I have to give some background, I'm not from Mississippi and I'm new to this state. Prior to going to Tupelo Smiles, I had a bad experience at a dentist in Booneville which I will not name because my goal is not to bash them, I just want to tell my experience. Let me explain the bad experience I had at the dentist in Booneville, then I will explain the good experience I had at Tupelo Smiles. First of all, the dentist in Booneville took what seemed like an excessively long time to do the work. I was in the chair for 4 hours. Also it appears that they gave me unhealing wounds in my mouth somehow, which I'll have to find a way to fix at some point. I didn't realize they were unhealing initially, but over time I can see that. Also, they cut my tongue really bad. Overall, they were just unprofessional. They kept telling me my mouth was too small, it was really weird. They complained the entire 4-hour span about my "small mouth" and their sub-par equipment. The dentist also cut teeth of mine that had nothing to do with what I was having done. Those teeth they cut without asking are still currently uncomfortable to chew on. At one point, maybe a week after this bad visit to the Booneville dentist, I got on the phone with their front desk. Eventually, one of their dental assistants got wind that I was in pain and unhappy, so she picked up the phone when I was on hold and said "Hi, I'm the one who sliced your tongue up" which just seemed unprofessional. Needless to say, I decided not to go back to the Booneville dentist. I decided to try Tupelo Smiles and it was a night and day type of difference. Tupelo Smiles was a lot better than the Booneville dentist. They explained things to me, they were patient with me, and showed that they cared about my wellbeing. They had a device to protect my tongue so I didn't have to worry about getting it sliced up again. Also, when they numbed me, we realized I could still feel and so they patiently numbed me some more to make sure I would not experience pain. Furthermore, they didn't complain about anything. Tupelo Smiles doesn't have to complain and blame, because they have plenty of expertise. They just did the work and that was it. I didn't have to hear about how I was born with a Ripley's Believe it or Not microscopic mouth or anything like that. Also, Tupelo Smiles didn't cut or shave any of my teeth that didn't need to be cut or shaved, which is more than I can say for the Booneville dentist. One other thing is, the time I spent in the chair at Tupelo Smiles was less than half of the time it took at the Booneville dentist. Another good thing at Tupelo Smiles is they had some helpful suggestions for things like cleanings, or whitenings, or things to help with any issues that could occur down the line. They even played some decent music in there. I highly recommend Tupelo Smiles. The professionalism they have really shows. Also their equipment is better than that other dentist's equipment. The whole experience at Tupelo Smiles was head and shoulders above the experience I had at the other place. If you want a professional dentist, go to Tupelo Smiles. If you have an enemy you want to send to a quack, then send them to the place I went to previously. Believe it or not, I could actually keep talking because there is more bad I could say about the Booneville dentist, and more good I could say about Tupelo Smiles, but I have to go. Tupelo Smiles is a wonderful dental clinic! From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly and professional. The office itself is clean, tidy, and welcoming. Then, my hygienist Sara was great! I had some serious brown stains on the back of my teeth as a result of using a certain mouthwash prior to and after a surgery back in January. The stains have been bothering me a lot. Sara explained the cleaning process she would be using to remove the stains as it is different from the usual cleaning. She described it well and while it was different, it wasn’t bad. I’m so pleased with the results from this cleaning! I will definitely return, and I highly recommend Tupelo Smiles and of course, Sara! More

I really dislike the dentist. Some people dislike clowns I can't stand the dentist. I've been traumatized with picks, needles and drills. I found Tupelo smiles after I left my dentist for lack of communication. How can u talk to me about x-rays when ur behind me talking to the back of my head, I can't see you and you haven't even shown me what ur talking about?? So sat in Tupelo Smiles office beside the Keurig machine, looking at the saltwater fish tank, filling out my for...m on their HP tablet thinking great here we go again another money bleeding dentist. I meet the staff who are very friendly but still not my dentist. Several employees have been there >20 yrs. Impressive. Answered a bunch of questions of course asked me about tooth whitening and $4000 braces. Waiting. Then in comes the dentist? Where's the hygienist, just clean my teeth and be done with it..... He proceeds to discuss things with me and does one of the most thorough exams ever checking for oral cancer? Wow that's a first. He explains everything he's looking at. What's the catch? I know he's gonna order these big x-rays and bill my insurance. Nope he's gonna get them from the other dentist and just get a couple for a cavity survey. Surprising. Then they put a lead protector on me and a thyroid protector? I haven't seen one of those since medical training. No dental office ever has protected my thyroid. Last but not least he pulls out his Canon looking camera and takes several close up gum and teeth pics to keep on file. Then I get a complementary tooth mold and whitening kit. ??? No charge. I didn't even get a cleaning. My next visit will be a thorough cleaning with discussion of x-rays. Wow. Dr. Caron earned his title of DMD. He gained my trust and established a great relationship. These guys are awesome especially Dr. Kenny who is currently repairing my teeth. I will admit I used to not like going to the dentist until I met these guys!! :-) now I have no problem going!! :-) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE!! GREAT STAFF SERVICE AND THEY ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOU AS A PERSON!!! :-) GREAT JOB GUYS!!! 03/27/15 UPDATE: Dr.Kenny has officially finished repairing my top and bottom teeth and to be honest I couldn't be more happier :-) Dr Kenny and his staff are so awesome and absolutely the best :-) I will definitely be going back for cleanings and everything. They have done what no other dentist could do and that was repair all my teeth without sedating me :-) there's just not enough words to describe how awesome theses guys are :-) from the first day I started seeing theses guys my teeth were damaged and decayed bad but now today the finishing day my teeth look amazing with no cavities at all. Once again thank you guys all so much for everything y'all have done for me :-) thank you for all the hard time and work and effort that was put into all this :-) More

My children BEG to go to the dentist, and they think that "Dr. John" should pull their teeth, and notify everyone at Tupelo Smiles about the lost tooth. They are like an extension of the family. I take my 5 year old and they clean her teeth and mine at the same time. They have TV and music to watch or listen to while you are having your work done. The cleanings do NOT hurt! Overall, the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. What really surpised me though was the 5 page letter written by Dr. Caron describing my dental issues and discussing my treatment outlook. I would recommend them to anyone. They also offered a free whitening kit with the first visit, a $100 gift card to give someone else for services at their clinic, and they gave my daughter a $25 gift card to Walmart after one of her visits. They also have free refreshments in the lobby including coffee, water, juice, cookies, etc. The only problem is you usually get called back too quick to have any refreshments! More
